Genre conventions of horror:angles
Camera angles play a big role in showing fear in a film. the low angle shots are normally used for the murder/killer they show that they are more powerful in the situation. the high angle shots are used on the victim so it shows their fear and powerlessness.
This for example shows that the man we see clearly is stronger, he will most likely be the murder as he looks more malicious from this angle.
Then this iconic scene from psycho puts emphasis on the woman as we see that she is powerless and can't do anything.
